Welcome to my little corner of wedding bliss!
I have been photographing weddings for ten years now am I so fortunate to get to call this my job. Little did I know that when I left my nursing job to persue this career full time that I would get to travel the world doing what I love and meet some of the most amazing couples right here in the mountains of Tennesse.
Four years ago I opened a studio in downtown Johnson City and it is such a great little place to meet with my couples and edit your beautiful weddings. If you walk a few doors past Main Street Pizza Co on a weekday, you will probably pass me editing at my desk and drinking my hot tea with cream and sugar (I know, I know).
When I am not working on weddings or photographing newborns, I am hanging out with my two wild and crazy little girls. We love to go hiking and do anything that involves water. I keep finding new beautiful spots for engagments sessions while we are out on our adventures.
I often get asked why I take the photojournalist approach to my wedding photography. It's pretty simple - I love emtional images. Yes, I can put you and your mom in front of a lovely window and photograph that, but I prefer the raw moments. When mom is discretely staring at her beautiful daughter transforming in to a bride, or when your neice is playing in your wedding shoes, or even the fun and silly moments like bridesmaids taking shots of Pepto or having dance parties. I don't want to be the main character of your day in the way and always talking, I want to be the extra friend in the room that just happens to provide you with your dream wedding album.
Thank you to every person that has welcomed me in to their wedding as their photographer. This is my dream career.
